The U.S. Embassy in Brussels is looking for a Public Engagement Assistant (Press and Media Coordinator) to join the Public Affairs team at the U.S. Mission to the European Union.

Job holder designs and implements press and media activities for the Mission to promote balanced and informed coverage of U.S. policy, respond to breaking stories, correct misinformation, and counter disinformation. Analyzes and compiles regular summaries of press and media coverage and its impact; prepares regular verbal and written reports to Mission leadership.

Salary as of €5.158 gross/month.

EDUCATION: University degree in Journalism, Communications, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience in public relations, public affairs, journalism, communications, marketing, managing public relations, outreach events, press conferences, and other media interactions.

LANGUAGE: Fluency in English and French.
